Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen the season finale of NBC’s hit show Superstore then DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT read on.
Following six seasons of intrigue and excitement of will they or won’t they at the end of the final season we get the wonderful news that Amy and Jonah do indeed end up together…but how did we get here I hear you ask?
Well, in the second last episode of the show, a Zephra representative comes to the store to see if it is a viable store to remain open as they have decided that as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that they are closing 95 percent of their stores.
Amy returns from California after giving Cheyenne the heads up that some Cloud 9 stores were to close.
When Amy goes into the store and sees Jonah doing his best to show the local community how much Cloud 9 means to everyone during a tv interview, Amy decides to resign from her position with Zephra and has also realized that the biggest mistake she made was not marrying Jonah when she had the chance.
In the end, Cloud 9 closes its doors and becomes a Zephra fulfilment centre where Dina is made manager and she keeps a number of people on while Glenn reopens his family hardware store, Sterges and Sons and employs Mateo.
Meanwhile, Amy becomes an executive with a new company while Jonah enters politics. Garrett and Dina also continue their relationship however, become girlfriend and boyfriend while Sandra becomes Dina’s assistant manager.
The end of the series wrapped up all of the story arks and there have been suggestions that there may be a spin-off in the works revolving around Cheyenne and Bo.
Superstore is currently streaming on Netflix and the final season is expected to air on ITV 2 in May.
