Arrow McLaren SP Ready For Indy Test

The Arrow McLaren SP NTT IndyCar Series team are at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the next two days as they prepare for the fast approaching 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge which takes place on May 30.

This year, the Indianapolis-based outfit have brought in NTT IndyCar Series veteran and two-time Indy 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya to partner Pato O’Ward and Felix Rosenqvist for not only the 500 but also the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the Indy road course.

Speaking ahead of the test, Montoya, who is driving the No.86 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet said:

“I am excited to get back to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I have a lot to learn with Arrow McLaren SP and I’m looking forward to getting back up to speed again. I think the open test is going to be great preparation for the race and it’s important that we get as many laps as possible with the No. 86 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet to be prepared for the Month of May.”

Pato O’Ward, driver of the No.5 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet commented ahead of the test saying:

“I’m really excited to finish out the last pre-season test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and see what we have for the Indianapolis 500. Once we are done with this test, it means that Barber is next! I can’t wait to get back on the track. I am ready and I know that Arrow McLaren SP is ready too.”

Felix Rosenqvist who arrived at AMSP from Chip Ganassi Racing over the off-season is also excited about the test saying:

“It will be great to get back to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and see how the Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolets feel on the oval. Pato and I are really excited to team up with Juan Pablo Montoya again as well. We have been working very hard to have a strong start to the season. We are ready.”

President of Arrow McLaren SP, Taylor Kiel commented saying:

“Arrow McLaren SP is ready to get our final preparations under way for the 2021 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. I think it will be a great opportunity to not only finish our pre-season testing but to also work on getting Pato, Felix and Juan Pablo up to speed for the Month of May. We have three incredibly talented drivers to work with and I’m excited to see how they work together and make each other better.” 

For international IndyCar fans, the test will be shown live via the IndyCar Series mobile app.
