Kanaan Hoping To Continue In 2023

NTT IndyCar Series veteran Tony Kanaan says he hopes to continue competing in the Series beyond his current contract with Chip Ganassi Racing which expires at the end of next season.

Kanaan is due to continue to share the No.48 Carvana/American Legion Honda with Jimmie Johnson on oval events for 2022 however, there has been a suggestion that Johnson, who made his IndyCar debut in 2021 may do a full season next year.

For his part, Chip Ganassi has said that as long as the budget is available he will run five cars so there is a car available for both Kanaan and Johnson.

Kanaan has confirmed that he will not race full-time in IndyCar again but wants to continue competing in the Indianapolis 500 beyond 2022.
