ROKiT Venturi Racing Team Principal Jerome D’Ambrosio says that it was a very positive pre-season test for the team in Valencia as they were fastest.
Speaking following the action, D’Ambrosio said:
It was a very positive and constructive week for us and, although we’re not reading too much into the results, it’s great to see that the performance is there and we will be heading into Diriyah with confidence. Testing provided a perfect opportunity for us to integrate some new key team members and also to run through the new qualifying and race simulation ahead of Diriyah ensuring that we feel as united and as prepared as possible. Overall testing went well for us and we’re looking forward to heading to Saudi at the end of January.”Jerome D’Ambrosio
Edoardo Mortara, Driver, ROKiT Venturi Racing
It’s always nice to top the timesheets for the week of testing and this is extremely positive. There is still a lot of work to do ahead of the first race to improve but overall our performance shows we are going in the right direction. The team performed well this week and working with Lucas for the first time we showed a good understanding and as a team ROKiT Venturi Racing are benefitting from his experience. I’m looking forward to Diriyah, it’s one of my favourite tracks of the calendar and it’s important to keep pushing until January.”Edoardo Mortara
Lucas di Grassi, Driver, ROKiT Venturi Racing
The week went really well and I felt comfortable as soon as I got behind the wheel. Because the test is our only track time before Diriyah, it was very important to understand the methodology of the car, replicate qualifying and race simulations, and also to build my relationship with the team. Overall, the pace was promising and at this stage, it is clear that there is a lot of potential for the coming season. This was my best pre-season test in years and I’m confident that we can deliver a good season when we get started in JanuaryLucas di Grassi
