Former NTT IndyCar Series champion Paul Tracy has comfirmed that he will not return to NBC Sports for the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series season which gets underway on February 27 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Tracy who has been a controversial figure within IndyCar said:
Paddock Eye understands that former Andretti Autosport driver James Hinchcliffe is being lined up to replace Tracy and will commentate alongside Leigh Diffey and Townsend Bell alongside his IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship commitments.
Hinch is no stranger to the NBC Sport booth as he was their pit-lane reporter in 2020.
