Advantage Verstappen In Abu Dhabi

Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen lay down the gauntlet in qualifying for Sunday’s season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as he claimed pole position in a thrilling qualifying setting a 01:22.109s.

Lewis Hamilton starts second for Mercedes with a 01:22.480s. Lando Norris starts third for McLaren just ahead of Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz.

Valtteri Bottas starts his final race for Mercedes from sixth just ahead of Charles Leclerc and Yuki Tsunoda.

Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo round out the top ten.

Fernando Alonso starts 11th just ahead of Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll while Antonio Giovinazzi starts his final race for Alfa Romeo from 14th place.

Sebastian Vettel is 15th for Aston Martin just ahead of Nicholas Latifi and George Russell.

Kimi Raikkonen starts his final Grand Prix from 18th place just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin.
