Newly-crowned Formula One champion Max Verstappen has revealed he received a text message from Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Principal, CEO and co-owner Toto Wolff.
The Red Bull driver revealed to Sky Sports News that Wolff texted him on Sunday night following the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which saw him win the championship by eight points from Lewis Hamilton.
Verstappen said thst emotions ran very during the closing stages of the race but was happy to get the message from Wolff.
Verstappen’s new about the text from Wolff suggests that the Brackley-based outfit will drop their intention to appeal the race result.
