Arrow McLaren SP Look To Continue Upward Trend In 2022

Arrow McLaren SP head into the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series looking to build on what was an outstanding season for the team last year. Pato O’Ward in the No.5 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet scored two victories, nine top five finishes and eleven top tens to finish the year in third place.

Felix Rosenqvist also returns to the team this season and has said that he hopes that he does not have a repeat of last season which saw the Swede struggle throughout the year in comparison to O’Ward.

The driver continuity should help the team however, what will also be extremely beneficial to the outfit is the arrival of Gavin Ward from Team Penske who will help bolster an already impressive engineering team.

Arrow McLaren SP has already confirmed that Juan Pablo Montoya will return to the team for May’s 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

Montoya will also compete in the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis ahead of the Indy 500 in May.

The team will once again be led trackside by President Taylor Kiel.

The opening race of the 2022 season, the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg takes place from February 25-27. For further details visit – https://www.gpstpete.com/
