Pagenaud Leads An MSR 1-2 On The Final Day Of Testing

Meyer Shank Racing’s Simon Pagenaud led a team 1-2 on the final day of ‘Spring Training’ NTT IndyCar Series testing at Sebring International Raceway ahead of next weekend’s season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg with his team-mate and four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Marcus Ericsson made it a Honda 1,2,3 in the No.8 Huski Chocolate car ending the day ahead of Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay.

It was a great day for rookie Kyle Kirkwood as he ended the session in fifth place in the No.14 ROKiT Chevrolet which bodes well for the Firestone Grand Prix presented by RP Funding next weekend.

Defending series champion, Alex Palou in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda was sixth for Chip Ganassi Racing just ahead of Conor Daly and Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda.

It was a great session for Juncos Hollinger Racing as Callum Ilott ended the day in ninth place as the team prepare for their full-time NTT IndyCar Series debut next weekend.

Dale Coyne Racing with HMD Motorsports David Malukas rounded out the top ten just ahead of his team-mate and series veteran Takuma Sato in the No.51 Nurtec Dale Coyne with Rick Ware Racing Honda.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Jimmie Johnson was 11th in the No.48 Carvana Honda just ahead of AJ Foyt Racing’s Dalton Kellett and Tatiana Calderon.
