Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda heads into this weekend’s 2022 NTT IndyCar Series season-opening Firestone Grand Prix presented by RP Funding aiming to kick start what he hopes will be a year that sees him win his seventh series title with a strong result on the streets of St Pete.
While many are looking at Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden, and Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta as the main title contenders this season, it would be extremely foolish to rule out ‘The Iceman.’
Dixon is entering his 19th season with Chip Ganassi Racing in the NTT IndyCar Series and is the longest-tenured driver at a single team in series history.
Dixon is third in the all-time winner’s list on 51 wins and is just one away from IndyCar legend Mario Andretti who has 52 wins while AJ Foyt leads the way on 67 victories.
Chip Ganassi Racing head into the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series aiming to retain the championship for the third year in a row.
