Chip Ganassi Racing’s six-time NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon, driver of the No.9 PNC Bank Honda says that it was mind-boggling to have finished last season in the top four was mind-boggling given the season the No.9 team had last year.
Speaking to Paddock Eye at St Pete on Friday, Dixon said it was weird to have finished the Indy 500 60 points out from Palou.
Dixon revealed that as a team on the No.9 crew they had issues with some of the tyre combos and that this is one thing that the team wants to work on for the 2022 season.
In the off-season, the team tried to focus on some of the things that they struggled with last season but they weren’t able to pinpoint where the issue was.
Dixon also said that the team will probably find out half way through the season where the issues are but that he is looking forward to the start of the season this weekend.
