Herta Fastest In Race Day Warm Up

Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda was the fastest in race day warm up for today’s season-opening Firestone Grand Prix presented by RP Funding. Herta set a fastest time of 01:00.3283s just ahead of Josef Newgarden who set a time of 01:00.5971s.

Alex Palou set the third fastest time in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda just ahead of Callum Ilott who had a great session with a time of 01:01.0936s for Juncos Racing.

Six-time champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda had a solid session ending the session in fifth place with a time of 01:01.1879s.

Pole-sitter Scott McLaughlin in the No.3 DEX Imaging Chevrolet was sixth fastest just ahead of Marcus Ericsson who set a 01:01.2066s.

Felix Rosenqvist was eighth just ahead of Kyle Kirkwood who once again showed he is a great addition to the field ending the session in ninth place while Takuma Sato rounded out the top ten with a time of 01:01.3595s.

Rinus VeeKay was 11th fastest with a time of 01:01.4795s just ahead of Graham Rahal and Will Power.

Jack Harvey was 14th just ahead of Devlin DeFrancesco and David Malukas and Conor Daly.

Simon Pagenaud was 18th just ahead of Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward and Dalton Kellett.

Romain Grosjean was 21st just ahead of Alexander Rossi and Christian Lundgaard. Jimmie Johnson was 23rd despite spinning and bringing out a brief caution period.

Tatiana Calderon was 25th just ahead of Helio Catroneves.
