ROKiT Venturi Racing Extends Partnership With Julius Baer

The ROKiT Venturi Racing ABB FIA Formula E team announced on Tuesday that they have extended their existing partnership with Swiss-based wealth management company Julius Baer.

Speaking about the news, ROKiT Venturi Racing Team Principal Susie Wolff said:

Season 7 was our most successful season yet and with such a strong driver line-up for Season 8 we’re delighted that Julius Baer have once again demonstrated their faith in us as an innovative platform for their brand. We share a pioneering spirit and we are both committed to expediting social and environmental change. Season 8 will see a new dimension to the partnership with increased branding and long awaited, fully immersive event experiences and we’re looking forward to sharing what promises to be another action packed race season in 2022

Verstappen Can Win The Championship In Saudi Arabia

Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen who finished second in Sunday’s Qatar Grand Prix can win the championship next time out in Saudi Arabia if:

It is possible however, both Max Verstappen and Max Verstappen are taking it one race at a time as they head into the final two races of the season.

A Fantastic Night Under The Lights For Alonso

The Alpine F1 Team’s Fernando Alonso had a fantastic night under the lights as Formula One hosted their inaugural Grand Prix in Qatar.

The double world champion started the race from third place on the grid as a result of penalties for Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas. The Spaniard showed great pace throughout the race coming home in third place and in doing so secured his first podium finish since the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix.

The podium finish was Alonso’s 98th of his Formula One career and his first with the Alpine F1 Team. Taking to Twitter following the race he said:

It was also a great night for Alonso’s teammate, Esteban Ocon who came from ninth place on the grid to finish the race in fifth place and in doing so gave the Alpine F1 Team a combined total of 25 points and taking to Twitter himself following the race, the Frenchman said:

The Alpine F1 Team have now strengthened their position in fifth place in the Formula One Constructors championship as they hold a 25 point lead over Scuderia Alpha Tauri with just two races remaining in the 2021 Formula One season in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi.

Solskear Leaves Man United

Manchester United Football Club announced on Sunday morning that manager Ole Gunner Solskear has left the club.

The news comes after Solskear following the team’s 4-1 defeat to Watson on Saturday.

The team are currently 12 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea. Michael Carrick has been placed in charge of the club on an interim basis.

The Wizarding World Comes To Dublin

A little slice of the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter will be at Dundrum Town Centre this weekend, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th November to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Harry Potter film with the famous trolley and Platform 9 3/4 on display for fans of the franchise to get a sense of what is was like to gain access to the Hogwarts Express.

The film which stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will also be shown in selected cinemas in Ireland and the UK on November 17 the original date the film was released in 2001.

“I’ve been preparing all day for this as I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I was a little bit nervous but very excited to be here. My favourite thing about Harry Potter is all the friendships and that everyone is different, no one is seen as not good enough”

Hulkenberg Tests At Barber Motorsports Park

Former Formula One driver Nico Hulkenberg made his NTT IndyCar Series debut with the Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet team at Barber Motorsports Park on Monday.

The German has been tipped as a favorite to race for the team in 2022 when they expand to a third car for selected races before moving to a full-time three-car program in 2023.

Ireland Lose Out In Bid To Host Euro 2020 Games Over Lack Of Fans

The Aviva stadium in Dublin will no longer host rounds of this summer’s Euro 2020 championships after the Irish government failed to guarantee that fans would be able to attend the games.

The venue had been due to host three group games and a knock out match however UEFA has confirmed the games have been moved to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
