Andretti Looking Strong In St Pete

Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda looks extremely strong heading into today’s Firestone Grand Prix presented by RP Funding.

Herta who starts the race from third commented saying:

It was a good start to the weekend here in St. Pete. The car felt very nice but we have a lot to improve on. To start second in the first session is a good place to start. The Gainbridge car is great and it’s another year where it seems like Honda power is very good – especially on street courses which is something to look forward to. Everything is starting out great.”

On his debut for the team in the No.28 DHL Honda, Romain Grosjean starts the race from 5th and speaking following the action he said:

“We just had our first session at St. Pete and my first official session for Andretti Autosport. To be P1 in the first practice is amazing. We will keep up the work as well as pushing the setup but I am very happy with how the session went and to be here. Hopefully more to come this weekend.”

Alexander Rossi starts the race from 13th place and speaking following the action on Saturday he said:

“It was a very difficult qualifying session for us. The car was great this morning in practice and I felt like we had a car to be at the front. We missed the balance a bit and will start 13th. We will see what tomorrow brings.”

Devlin DeFrancesco starts his first IndyCar race from 18th place and speaking following the action he said:

“The black (tires) seemed to be okay but the reds seemed to be ideal from lap one of qualifying. We will see what we can do tomorrow in the race.”
