You Have To Look At The Young Talents Who Have Been Really Strong

IndyCar Series legend Mario Andretti says that fans need to look at the young talent coming up the ranks of the sport as the opening race of the 2022 season approaches with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg. in just over two weeks time.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during a Zoom interview, the 1969 Indianapolis 500 winner said look at McLaren, and Pato O’Ward was able to achieve with the team last season.

Look at Alex Palou, out of nowhere, who would have thought he was going to be a champion over Scott Dixon who is still at the very top of his game.

When you see talents like that coming on it’s beautiful. It’s awesome for the sport so there are many many questions that will be answered but I don’t think anybody knows the answers going in.

I don’t care how much of an expert we think we are, it’s very unpredictable and here again we can hardly wait for that first race and than go on from there.

Andretti says that we are going to see something good, something different from Jimmie Johnson as he prepares to step up to a full-time drive with Chip Ganassi Racing in the No.48 Carvana American Legion Honda.

He’s an unquestionable talent, but he had to put his arms around the capability of a single seater. He was very caution but his talent will preval no question. I am rooting for the man.

It is great for the crossover and he does it just for the pure love of driving and there is nothing I respect more than that.
