Grenfell United Welcome Mercedes Decision

Grenfell United, the organization set up by the survivors and families of the victims of the Grenfell fire tragedy in 2017 has welcomed the news that the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has ended their association with Kingspan.

In a statement released on their Twitter feed on Wednesday, Grenfell United who met with Mercedes Team Principal, CEO and co-owner Toto Wolff this week commented saying:

Wolff Offers To Meet Grenfell Families

Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Principal, CEO and co-owner Toto Wolff has offered to meet the families of the victims of the Grenfell fire following news that the Brackley-based outfit has entered into a partnership with Kingspan, the company that provided the cladding for the building.

The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team tweeted a letter from Toto Wolff to Grenfell United on Friday:

The fire which broke out in 2017 killed 72 people. Toto Wolff’s letter comes following calls for the Mercedes team to terminate their agreement with Kingspan which was announced earlier this week.
