We Really Showed The Progress We Made

Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay in the No.21 SONAX Chevrolet says that the Team’s performance in the season-opening Firestone Grand Prix presented by RP Funding on the streets of St Petersburg shows the progress the team made over the off-season.

VeeKay started the race from fourth place and came home in sixth.

Daly And VeeKay Have High Hopes For Ed Carpenter Racing In 2022

Ed Carpenter Racing will field both Conor Daly and Rinus VeeKay full-time in the NTT IndyCar Series for the 2022 season which gets underway with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg in less than three weeks time.

VeeKay, who had a breakthrough season last year, scoring his maiden IndyCar victory at the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis is back for his third season with the team and will be hoping to continue this momentum into the new season.

Daly who was recently confirmed as VeeKay’s full-time team-mate following spells with Carlin over the past two years will be hoping that the continuity of working with the team at ECR will assist him this season.

As for what team owner Ed Carpenter will do this year, it remains unclear, the American has said that he will confirm his plans for this season at a later date but Paddock Eye understands that he plans to compete in the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge in May.

The Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg takes place from February 25-27.

VeeKay Looking Forward To Having Daly At ECR Full-Time This Season

Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay has told Paddock Eye that he is looking forward to having Conor Daly as his full-time NTT IndyCar Series team-mate in 2022.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during the opening media day of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series season on Monday the Dutch driver said that he was excited to have Conor at ECR for the full season.

VeeKay told us that he hopes that he and Conor can help move the team forward over the course of the 2022 season.

VeeKay also said that he is happy that Conor Daly has a full-time drive for the upcoming season.

VeeKay To Compete In The 24 Of Daytona

Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay driver of the No.21 Sonax Chevrolet in the NTT IndyCar Series has confirmed that he will compete in the 24 Hours of Daytona which takes place on Saturday 26th January.

The Dutch driver who had a breakthrough season in IndyCar in 2021, claiming his first career win in the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis confirmed on Thursday that he will race for Racing Team Nederland.
