Scuderia Ferrari has become the latest Formula One Team to confirm their launch plans for their 2022 challenger.
The Prancing Horse announced on Monday that their new car will be launched on Thursday 17th February. The news came after the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team announced last week that their new car will be launched on February 10th.
Ferrari will field an unchanged driver line-up for this season with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz together again for a second season.
The Scuderia Ferrari Formula One Team announced on Thursday that they have signed a multi-year contract extension with cyber security and data protection company Kaspersky who have been a partner of the team since 2010.
Speaking about the news, Ferrari Team Principal Matteo Binotto commented saying:
“We are pleased to renew our partnership with Kaspersky and in fact to increase its scope. Our two companies have much in common, such as a policy of striving for technological excellence and a culture of teamwork. For over a decade, Kaspersky has played a key role for Scuderia Ferrari, protecting our data both at the track and in Maranello and it is important that we can count on such a reliable partner when it comes to such a delicate aspect in the life of a team. We are also happy that our collaboration has been extended into the world of esports, which is growing fast and is vital when it comes to promoting motorsport to a wider and younger audience.”
Scuderia Ferrari ended the 2021 Formula One season in third place in the championship following a great on track battle all season long with McLaren.
